Snooker

"Snooker" is English billiards, but it should not be confused with its similar name "English billiards". Snooker became most popular in Great Britain, and then at the end of the 20th century it became popular almost all over the world, mainly in China and European countries. Despite the fact that billiards is one of the oldest entertainment games, the concept of "snooker" appeared only in the 70s of the 19th century. There is a version that the creator of the famous game is Colonel Neville Chamberlain. It was mentioned that previously, additional multi-colored balls were used for the game: yellow, brown, green and black. Over time, the rules of the game changed and were supplemented with new ones. Already at the beginning of the 20th century, snooker was at the peak of its popularity, when the Billiards Association established the basic rules of the game and officially certified it. Over time, the game of billiards became more famous than English billiards, which combines the principles of "carambole" or French billiards and "loose" billiards.
